CORFU

History

Corfu is a greek island in the Ionian sea. It is the second biggest of Ionian islands and the seventh biggest of all greek islands. It has almost 100.000 residents. The island is very famous about its architecture and the old city of corfu is Unesco World Heritage Monument since 2007.

Its architecture is influenced by Venetians who lived here for almost three centuries. They created significant parts of the old city and the famous square Spianda-Liston

Nature

Corfu nature meets diversity. Many parts of the island consists of green and lush areas with olive and the other big trees. In the north we can meet lush areas or clayey environments while in the south we can meet less dense environments, sandhills etc.
